News 2014/11/05 Feasibility study tour to the Republic of Moldova

The national experts from the environmental institutions of the Republic of Moldova will boost their capacities and learn from the best EU practices during the two-day training, 11-13 November 2014 in Chisinau.

The training is organised by the European Environment Agency (EEA) in the framework of the InSEIS project - increased collaboration with the EEA and further implementation of Shared Environmental Information System (SEIS).  The project serves as a pilot case for a new model of enhanced cooperation and provision of expertise between EEA, Eionet countries and the Republic of Moldova.  It can pave the way for the identification of priority areas to be further taken up in continuous matter on bilateral level. The expected outcome of this visit is to kick-off the project by having first “hands-on” sharing experience support and defining priorities for the next activities until the end of the project in July 2015. Austria, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria and Estonia will share their expertise and lead the implementation of the identified activities.
