News 2014/03/10 Georgia has signed the Letter of Intent

On 10th March 2014 the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of the Republic of Georgia, Mrs. K. Gogaladze has signed the Letter of Intent, which commits Georgia to improve the access and availability of environmental data and information. This is a result of a long dialogue and cooperation within the current ENPI-SEIS project.

According to this document, the European Environment Agency will provide support and technical expertise built on best practice from the Eionet and its data reporting mechanisms and tools.

Currently, both parties are planning the study tour for the experts from the Environmental Information and Education Center (EIEC) foreseen in autumn 2014.
