ENPI-SEIS implementation and institutional cooperation at national level is ensured by the appointed two National Focal Points (NFPs), representing the environmental and statistical organisations leading in the field of environmental information in each of the partner countries. Each National Focal Point is nominated by the collaborating country's leading organisation (eg. Ministry of Environment and the Statistical Office/Bureau) to be the primary link and contact with the EEA on the matters related to the ENPI-SEIS project.
The NFPs engagement and efforts in networking with the relevant organisations, coordinating meetings and ensuring regular communication with key stakeholders at the national level have been of key importance for implementation of project activities at national level.
In the folder is available the description of the role and tasks of the NFPs (in Arabic, English and Russian) adopted during the first Steering Committee meeting in November 2010, as well as the regularly updated list of nominated NFPs for all partner countries.
